How can I get into an ROP course?
The first step is to review the Hart District ROP schedule on the Home Page. Then, contact the ROP advisor at your school site, who will provide guidance to you in course selection and in completion of the enrollment procedures.

What are the age restrictions for taking an ROP course?
Students must be at least 16 years old or at least a junior in high school. Adults may also enroll in classes, but keep in mind that students will receive first priority.

Does ROP give me credits towards my high school graduation requirement?
Yes, all ROP classes count towards high school credits.

What fees are associated with ROP?
High school students are accepted into the classes free of charge. Adults pay a $35.00 registration fee. Also, many classes require a lab fee. Adult fees for private post secondary schools may vary. Registration fees are normally non-refundable unless the class has been canceled, and then only upon request of the student/adult.

Where are the ROP classes located?
Courses are offered at high schools, community colleges, private post secondary schools, community, business, and industry facilities. Review the course schedule at to find out the location for a specific class.

Is transportation provided?
No, students are responsible for finding their own transportation to and from classes.
